How We Look After Your Data
Last updated: 11 August 2026
Leominster Laundry (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit our website or use our services, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
1. Who We Are
Leominster Laundry, Unit 17-18, Station Yard Industrial Estate, Leominster, Herefordshire, HR6 8TW, is the data controller responsible for your personal data. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at info@leominsterlaundry.co.uk or 01568 250253.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect personal data in the following ways:
- Contact and quote enquiries: when you use our website contact form, we collect the name, email address, phone number and any message details you provide.
- Phone and email enquiries: if you call or email us directly, we keep a record of the details needed to respond to you and, where relevant, to arrange or manage your laundry, dry cleaning, linen hire or holiday let management service.
- Customer and account information: if you become a customer, we hold the details needed to provide our services, including your name, address, contact details and, for holiday let management clients, property and changeover information.
- Website usage data: our website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Some strictly necessary and third-party functional cookies are used; see Section 4 below.
We do not knowingly collect payment card details through our website. Any card payments are taken securely by phone or in person and are not stored by us.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to:
- respond to enquiries and provide quotes;
- deliver and manage laundry, dry cleaning, linen hire and holiday let management services;
- maintain accurate business and customer records;
- meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
Our legal basis for processing this data is that it is necessary to perform a contract with you (or to take steps at your request before entering one), or is in our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business. We do not use your data for marketing without your consent, and we do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We keep our use of cookies to a minimum:
- Essential cookies: a cookie is used to remember your cookie consent choice so we don’t ask again on every visit.
- Google Fonts: our website loads typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com), which may involve your browser connecting to Google’s servers.
- Google Maps: our Contact page embeds a Google Map to show our location. Google may set cookies when the map loads.
You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Declining the cookie banner on our site only affects the consent-preference cookie itself; essential site functionality is not tracking-based.
5. Sharing Your Data With Third Parties
We use a small number of trusted service providers to help run our website and business. We only share the data necessary for them to provide their service:
- Formspree processes submissions from our website contact form and forwards them to us by email. See Formspree’s privacy policy for details of how they handle data.
- Google (Fonts and Maps) provides fonts and map embeds used on our website. See Google’s privacy policy for details.
We do not share your data with any other third party for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose data where required by law, for example to HMRC or a regulator.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep enquiry and customer data for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, accounting and tax obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
7. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- ask us what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete your data, where we’re not required to keep it;
- ask us to restrict or object to certain processing;
- ask for your data to be provided in a portable format, where applicable.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@leominsterlaundry.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
8. Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are aimed at adults arranging laundry, dry cleaning or property services, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services or the law. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
